Born in Nappanee on Aug. 9, 1933, he was the son of Leo and Florence
Bill attended Nappanee area schools and served briefly in the United States Air Force before being honorably discharged.
On Dec. 14, 1952, Bill was married to the late Mary Ellen Boggs in Packerton. Together they shared 63 years and started a family that includes their two daughters, Susan and Sandy.
Bill retired in 1998 as supervisor of transportation for Peabody ABC, Winona Lake. He had dedicated more than 45 years of service there before his retirement.
He was also a past master of Pierceton Masonic Lodge 377 F.&A.M. and a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. In earlier years, when he was

Those left to appreciate good memories of Bill include his two daughters, Susan (Randy) Shepherd and Sandy Stillson, both of Warsaw; two grandsons, Andy (Stephanie) Shepherd and Jeff (Jenny) Shepherd, both of Warsaw; five great-grandchildren; and his sister, Arlene (Tom) Dettbrenner, Bremen.
In addition to his loving wife, Mary Ellen Stillson, who passed May 9, 2016, Bill was preceded in death by two siblings: brother Robert Stillson and sister
Friends may gather at Titus Funeral Home for visitation and to share memories at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 6. A Masonic service will take place at 11:45 a.m., with his funeral service commencing at noon. Burial will follow in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery.
