 The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail.
• 3:15 p.m. Monday – Jonathan Alan Hamby, 37, Granger, arrested for theft. Bond: $5,250.
• 3:37 p.m. Monday – Donald Ray Shepherd, 47, of South Walnut Street, Mentone, arrested for failure to appear and on a civil warrant. Bond: $1,264.
• 3:41 p.m. Monday – Sean Andrew Baird, 30, Elkhart, arrested for theft. Bond: $15,250.
• 4:39 p.m. Monday – Ricardo Cacahua Ahutal, 20, of 1692 E. CR 200N,  #205, Warsaw, arrested for failure to appear. No bond set.
• 5:17 p.m. Monday – Danny Jay Manges, 50, of 103 E. Section St., Claypool, arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, two counts of driving while suspended, domestic battery and possession of paraphernalia. Bond; $1,784
• 5:35 p.m. Monday – Travis James Ludwig, 27, of 3775 N. Barbee Road, Warsaw, arrested for invasion of privacy. Bond: $1,500.
• 6:09 p.m. Monday – Jennifer Grace Logan, 27, of 1812 Hepler Drive, Warsaw, arrested on a civil warrant. No bond set.
• 6:44 p.m. Monday – Paul Gene Peck, 49, of 10402 Ind. 15, #3, Silver Lake, arrested for compulsory school attendance violation. Bond: $400.
• 6:56 p.m. Monday – Albert Vilchis, 23, of 4209 Heron Blvd., Warsaw, arrested for possession of paraphernalia. Bond: $700.

• 6:33 a.m. Monday – Intersection of East Bowser Road and CR 375E, Syracuse. Car hit tree. Driver: Erin Shuler, 20, CR 200N, Warsaw. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. Syracuse Police Department investigated.
• 6:48 a.m. Monday – Intersection of Lake City Highway and CR 200N, Warsaw. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Beverly Benner, 67, Goshen; King Huddleston, 59, Fort Wayne. Injury: Benner was treated at the scene for pain to her chest. Damage: $5,000 to $10,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.
• 12:16 p.m. Monday – Intersection of Lake City Highway and East Center Street, Warsaw. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Douglas Gates, 72, Antler Drive, Warsaw; Lisa Ziegler, 23, Deshler, Ohio. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. WPD.
• 3:45 p.m. Monday – 2000 N. Winona Ave., Warsaw. Car hit parked vehicle registered to Mercer Transportation Company, Louisville, Ky. Driver: Randy Trigg, 59, Elkhart. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. WPD.

• 7:15 p.m. Monday – A resident reported a fraud in the 200 block of West Main Street, Warsaw. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.
• 1:32 a.m. today – Police responded to a report of intimidation in the 3500 block of Lake City Highway, Warsaw. WPD.

Sheriff Addressed Issues In The Jail Since Taking Office
Once taking office I knew how important it was going to be to have the right leadership in every division of the office, and the jail was certainly no exception. Upon taking office, I appointed Lt. Kevin Gelbaugh as the jail commander and Chad Marsh as the assistant jail commander, and to say I am proud of all their work and accomplishments would be an understatement.
