BOURBON – Triton kept its hope alive for a share of the Hoosier North Athletic Conference girls basketball title with a 46-18 win over visiting Pioneer Thursday night.
The Lady Trojans led 18-5 after the first quarter and 30-7 at halftime, and the Lady Panthers never threatened Triton from there.
Hannah Wanemacher scored 25 points and Whytnie Miller added 10 for Triton. Kaitlin Bailey led the Lady Trojans with five rebounds.
Triton, 6-1 in the HNAC, trails  7-0 North Judson by a game. The two teams clash in the Trojan Trench today, with tipoff about 8 p.m., following the junior varsity game.
The Lady Trojans improved to 8-13 overall.
