SOUTH WHITLEY – Whitko senior Abbigail Overmeyer, a member of Warsaw Area Girls Rugby high school team, signed a letter of intent Monday to continue her academic and rugby careers at Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Davenport is the 2016 Division II national champions at 15’s and 7’s. Overmeyer was part of the 2016 state championship team, scoring on the final try in the state final.
Overmeyer plans to study sports administration at Davenport.
