Valley Adds To Swim Schedule
AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley has added a dual swim meet at Maconaquah to its schedule. The meet will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Manchester HOF Induction Feb. 17
NORTH MANCHESTER – The 2017 Manchester Athletic Hall of Fame will hold its induction ceremony Feb. 17 at halftime of the boys varsity basketball game against Columbia City.
Five people comprise the class of 2017. Cris Brandenburg from boys basketball, David Cable and Bryant Wiley from boys tennis, Brady Miller from football and Larry J. Miller as an athletic contributor will be inducted.
The game will start at 7:45 p.m., following the junior varsity contest.

Tiger Baseball Host Camp On Sundays
Warsaw Tiger baseball will host a  developmental skills camp from 1-3 p.m. on Sundays until Jan. 29 in the Tiger Den. The camp is open to boys in the second through eighth grade.
Players will need to enter at the south silo, and need to bring their own gym shoes, bat, helmet and glove. Admission is free, and each camper will receive a T-shirt to wear each week. Parents are encouraged to stay and watch or help out.

Komets Hosting Warsaw Night
FORT WAYNE – The Fort Wayne Komets will host Warsaw Night at its game Feb. 3 against the Rapid City Rush.
Area fans can purchase specially priced tickets on the internet at https://groupmatics.events/warsaw2017. Warsaw mayor Joe Thallemer will drop the ceremonial first puck at the game.
Game time is 8 p.m.

Mentone Youth League Registration Dates Announced
MENTONE – Registration dates for the Mentone Youth League have been scheduled for the 2017 season.
Players can be registered from 9 a.m. - noon Feb. 4; 5-8 p.m. Feb. 6 and 8; 9 a.m. - noon Feb. 11, and 3-8 p.m. Feb. 13. All registration sessions will be at the Bell Memorial Library in Mentone.
The cost is $35 per T-ball player, $45 per player in other leagues, with a maximum cost of $110 per family. The fundraiser buy-out is $25 per player or $40 per family.
The board of directors for the 2017 season consists of: Chris Pettit, president; Terrye Kirchenstien, vice president; Michelle Goble, treasurer; Steve Moriarty, equipment manager, and members at large Thadd Mellott, Travena Pettit, Cy Stump, Jeremy Bowers, David Bussard, Derek Adamson, Chris Craft and Chad Patrick.
“MYL Board of Directors would like to thank our community for their continued support as we are taking significant steps to build Mentone Youth League into a youth sports program that we and our community can be proud of and that will be enjoyed for generations to come,” said Goble in a press release.
