FORT WAYNE — Lawton Carter Jr. II, 39, passed away Jan. 12, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.  
He was born in Fort Wayne.
Surviving are his fiancee, Holly Atchison, Union, Mich.; children: Summer, Lawton, Mayson and Lilyana; his parents, Alta Carter and Lawton Carter Jr., Tippecanoe; a brother, Brian (spouse Jackie) Carter, New Haven; and a sister, Melinda (spouse Dave) Beldon, Tippecanoe.
He was preceded by nephews Jacey Allen Parke and Timothy Carter and a cousin, Lonnie Shelton.  
The funeral was planned for 10:30 a.m. today at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven.
