Warsaw Swimmers Sweep
Four Warsaw swimmers were double winners in a dual meet with visiting Culver Academies Tuesday. The Lady Tigers won 97-89 while the boys team won 108-74.
Lauren Kuhl won the 200 and 500 freestyle races, and Brenna Morgan won the 50 and 100 free for the Lady Tigers. Delaney Wihebrink took the 200 IM, and Taylor Gunter won the 100 butterfly. Warsaw’s girls also won the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
On the boys side, Nick Zogbi won the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke and Hudson Snyder took the 200 and 500 freestyle races. Alex Cook won the 50 free, Evan Borchers the 100 butterfly, Grant Knight the 100 breaststroke and Cameron Bowell won the diving. The Tiger boys won the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays as well.
The teams will host LaPorte on Saturday.

Lady Squires Edge Blackhawk 39-33
FORT WAYNE – Manchester got balanced scoring in its 39-33 win at Fort Wayne Blackhawk in a non-conference girls basketball game Tuesday.
Cierra Carter, Ellie Milam and Bailey Sewell had eight points each for the Lady Squires. Kennedy Fierstos had four points, and Emma West and Kerigan Hatfield had three points each.
Manchester also won the junior varsity game 42-17. Ranissa Shambarger had nine points in the win for the Lady Squires.
The varsity team improved to 11-9 overall, and hosts Rochester in a Three Rivers Conference game and home finale Friday night.
Wildcats Win On The Road
MONROE – Sophomore Spencer Sroufe had a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds, and Nate Walpole tossed in 23 points in Whitko’s 85-75 road win at Adams Central in a non-conference boys basketball game Tuesday.
River West and Alex Bechtold added 10 points each for Whitko.
The Wildcats (8-5) host Three Rivers Conference foe Northfield on Friday.
Triton Boys Advance
ARGOS – Triton outscored host Argos 17-2 in the third quarter, good enough to down the Dragons 43-37 in the first round of the Bi-County Boys Basketball Tournament Tuesday night.
Senior Zac Pitney was 8 of 10 from the field and finished with 22 points for Triton. Grant johnson had 11 for the Trojans.
Triton (8-4) will face Bremen in the semifinals of the tournament at LaVille at 8 p.m. Friday.
Lady Trojans Fall
ARGOS – Hannah Wanemacher had a game-high 19 points in Triton’s 37-29 loss at 1A No. 2 Argos in the opening round of the Bi-County Girls Basketball Tournament Tuesday.
The Lady Trojans will take on Culver Community in a consolation round game at LaVille on Thursday.
