John is a graduate of Warsaw High School. He and Shirley have lived in Warsaw for 33 years.
They have two children, Jeanette and John G. Hand. They also have two grandchildren, Jessica Hand and John D. Hand.
Prior to living in Warsaw, they lived in Indianapolis; Bryan, Ohio; Springfield, Ill.; Pickens, S.C.; Sanford, N.C.; and Hurst, Texas.
They moved to Warsaw in 1984.
