She was born Feb. 18, 1928, in Howard County, to John H. and Uneta Marshall Yarian
She first married on Feb. 8, 1947, to Daniel M. Bucher, who preceded on July 24, 1977. In May 1978 she married Alton B. Shireman, who preceded in 1990. On Aug. 25, 1995, she married Basil A. Scott, who preceded her in 2006.
She was a farm wife and also worked at the Akron Exchange State Bank and The Fluff of Akron.
She was a graduate of Roann High School. She attended Silver Creek Church of God and Akron Church of God. She enjoyed working at the Akron Food Pantry and spending time with her family.
She loved the farm and attending sporting events for kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. She made three-layer birthday cakes until she was in her 80s and baked cookies. She liked to play crossword puzzles and word searches, put together puzzles, and reading.
Survivors include a daughter, Judith (husband Kent) French, Silver Lake; two sons, Jerry (wife Janice) Bucher, Dowagiac, Mich., and William (wife Jacki) Bucher, Silver Lake; a daughter-in-law, Karen Bucher, Columbia City; a sister, Rosella Dyson, Roann; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents; husbands; a stepson, John C. Bucher; a grandchild, Chad Bucher; and four sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Akron Church of God, 301 S. West St., Akron. Grandson Aaron French and Pastor Kathy Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Hartzler Funeral Home 305 W. Rochester St., Akron.
