BOURBON – Triton’s boys and girls basketball teams earned a sweep of Culver Community in Hoosier North Athletic Conference play Friday night. The Lady Trojans rolled over the Lady Cavaliers 59-8, while the boys game went to the Trojans 60-44 at the Trojan Trench.
Hannah Wanemacher had 19 points for Triton to lead all scorers in the girls game. Whytnie Miller had 16, and seven different Lady Trojans scored in the game.
Senior Grant Johnson had a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds, both game-highs, in the boys contest. Zac Pitney had 16 points, and Beau Hepler had a trio of three-pointers on his way to a 12-point night.
Both the teams open play in the Bi-County Tournament Tuesday at Argos. The Lady Trojans (6-12, 5-1 HNAC) play the 1A No. 1 Lady Dragons at 6 p.m. The Triton boys (7-4, 4-0 HNAC) follow at about 7:30.

Zebras Down Vikings, Get First Win Of The Season
ROCHESTER – Brady Perez scored with 35 seconds to play to give Rochester the lead, and the Zebras held on for a 54-53 win over visiting Tippecanoe Valley in a Three Rivers Conference game Friday night.
The win was the first for Rochester this season.
Jarod Duzenbery had 19 points, and fell a rebound short of a double-double for the Vikings. Keith Wright had 10 points, and Alec Craig had nine for Valley.
The Vikings (6-7, 2-2 TRC) play at Winamac at 3 p.m. today.

LCA Takes Down Lady Lions
WINONA LAKE – Hope Fancil scored 26 points, and Brady Gross had nine points and 10 rebounds for Lakeland Christian Academy in its 50-34 win over visiting Victory Christian Academy Friday night.
The Lady Lions led by six after the first quarter, but Lakeland Christian came back to led 26-22 at halftime. The Lady Cougars outscored the visitors from Valparaiso 24-12 in the second half to secure the win.
Lakeland Christian (9-9) hosts Granger Christian at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The loss extended the Warriors’ losing streak to six games overall, and 38 in the conference.
Wawasee (4-7) hosts Plymouth in NLC play Friday.

Get To Know The Team: Warsaw Captains Q&A
