Two More Arrested In Seven-County Crime Spree

Two more men have been arrested by Pulaski and Kosciusko County officers in connection with an extensive crime spree that spans five Indiana counties and two Michigan counties.
Officers from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department arrested Tyson DeWayne Matthews, 27, Winamac, on Friday on preliminarily felony charges of forgery and theft, according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
KCSD detectives then arrested James Walton Matthews, 46, Medaryville, on Saturday on a preliminary charge of auto theft.   Matthews’ bond was set at $5,250.
The pair are a part of a large-scale theft ring that involved crimes committed in Kosciusko, Noble, Steuben, Starke and Pulaski counties, along with two counties in Michigan.  Detectives stated additional arrests may be forthcoming and from other county agencies as the investigation continues.
The FBI is assisting with the ongoing investigation, release states.
