TOWN OF WINONA LAKE PLAN COMMISSION
Notice is hereby given that the Winona Lake, Indiana Plan Commission will hold a hearing on January 17, 2017 at 5:30 pm, in the Council Room of the Winona Lake, Indiana Town Hall, 1310 Park Avenue, Winona Lake, Indiana. The subject of the hearing is about the adding some additional provisions and modifications to the Winona Lake ZONING ORDINANCE at ARTICLE X; to-wit:
i. Section 1, SPECIFICATIONS A- DEFINITIONS at definition 17. FAMILY” is now replaced and restated as follows, to-wit:
17 FAMILY: A group of one or more persons occupying a building and living as a single housekeeping unit. An unrelated group, living as a single housekeeping unit shall consist of not more than four (4) persons as distinguished from a group occupying a lodging house or hotel.
ii. Section 1, SPECIFICATIONS B- General Provisions and Conditional Exceptions Exceptions Applicable to All Residential Uses in Districts Where Permitted, do now provide the following additional provisions to the GENERAL PROVISIONS,
I. ACCESSORY STRUCTURES,
A. Accessory buildings: to-wit:
4. Canvas covered structures shall not be used as garage(s), storage shed(s) boat shelter(s), or carport(s).
5. Wood Burning Boiler(s) are not to be placed in and operated in structures, including but not limited to, garage(s), shed(s) or any other structure.
6. Clothesline(s) shall not be permitted in the front yard of a residence. “Front yard” shall have the same meaning of “Lot Line, Front” as set out in definition “33” at SPECIFICATIONS A- DEFINITIONS. 1310 Park Avenue, Winona Lake, Indiana prior to the meeting, will be considered. After the hearing, the Proposals may be adopted, amended, or rejected in full or in part. Approved proposals may be submitted by the Plan Commission to the Winona Lake, Town Council in any form.
