AKRON — Teresa L. Honeycutt, 61, rural Akron, died at 4:50 a.m. Jan. 1, 2017, at her residence after being in failing health for six months
She was born Sept. 25, 1955, in Paintsville, Ky., to Willis Roby and Ellen Arlene Murry Fairchild. On Sept. 23, 1972, in Paintsville, she married Billy R. Honeycutt. He survives.
She worked at Comfort Inn, Rochester, and Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, as well as being a loving wife and mother.
She was a member of the House of Prayer Church, Akron, since 1989. She loved spending time with family and enjoyed shopping for all kinds of things. She also enjoyed country and gospel music.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Honeycutt, Akron; three daughters: Lisa Honeycutt, Mandy (husband Justin) Gearhart and Tonya (husband Ryan) Kirksey, all of Akron; six grandchildren: Dylan, Deziree, Madison, Jake, Blake and Breanna; two sisters, Paula and Sheila; and three brothers: Lee, Phillip and Mike.
She was preceded by her parents; a daughter, Sherry; three sisters: Francis, Mag and Brenda; and a brother, Victor.
Calling will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the 2 p.m. services at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron. Pastor Danny Honeycutt will officiate, and burial will be in Akron Cemetery.
