James Edward "Jim" McCleary, 73, Warsaw, passed away at 3:03 p.m. Feb. 21, 2017, at Sycamore Village Healthcare, Fort Wayne. 
He was born Aug. 4, 1943, in Warsaw, to Virgil A. and Lucille Thorp McCleary. 
He was a lifetime Warsaw area resident, graduated in 1961 from Warsaw High School and attended Purdue University, West Lafayette. He was a United States Air Force veteran and attended the Air Force Academy. 
He was married Feb. 22, 1998, in Warsaw, to Irina Nekrasova, who survives. 
He retired in 2000 as co-owner/operator of SYM Financial Corp., Warsaw. He enjoyed woodworking. 
He is survived by his wife, Irina McCleary, Warsaw; a daughter, Katie (spouse Don) Ross, Blue Springs, Mo.; a son, Christopher McCleary, Bentonville, Ark.; six grandchildren; and a brother, Richard McCleary, Warsaw.
He was preceded by his parents. 
No public services are planned. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
