 The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail. 
• 12:37 p.m. Tuesday – Tyler Michael Smith, 33, Ossian, arrested on a civil warrant. Bond: $400.
• 2:36 p.m. Tuesday – Michael David Mench, 34, of 408 Turkey Creek Drive, Milford, arrested for driving while classified as a habitual traffic offender. Bond: $10,250.
• 3:54 p.m Tuesday – Joel Loftus, 34, Angola, arrested for domestic battery. Bond: $1,000.
• 4:22 p.m. Tuesday – Trinton Jared Tuttle, 32, of 704 Inverness Circle, South Whitley, arrested for forgery. No bond set.
• 8:47 p.m. Tuesday – Alisha Rae Hoover, 28, of 322 Washington St., #3, Warsaw, arrested for probation violation and aiding, inducing, causing a felony. Bond: $10,500.
• 9:01 p.m. Tuesday – Andrew Edward Matney, 31, Rochester, arrested for auto theft and resisting law enforcement. Bond: $5,250. 
• 9:44 p.m. Tuesday – Heather Marie Tackitt, 36, of 626 Turtle Bay Drive, Syracuse, arrested on a civil warrant. Bond: $600.
• 11:54 Tuesday – Ty Wayne Marshall Brown, 22, of 5153 W. Corly Lane,?Silver Lake, arrested for failure to appear and theft. No bond set.

• 10:06 a.m. Tuesday – Intersection of Ind. 25 and CR 100S, Warsaw. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Brande Edgington, 41, La Porte; Lucille Gaff, 70, Bruner Road, Warsaw. Injuries: Edgington complained of pain to her back; Gaff complained of pain to her entire body. Damage: $10,000 to $25,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.

• 3:45 a.m. Tuesday – Intersection of Huntington Street and East Palm Drive, Syracuse. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Dennis Shumaker, 55, CR 100S, Pierceton; Jeremy Weaver, 36, West Pearl Street, #3, Syracuse. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.
• 6:31 a.m. Tuesday – Intersection of Ind. 15 and CR 900S, Claypool. Car hit deer. Driver: Robert Brandon, 43, CR 100S, Warsaw. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. WPD. 
• 9:53 a.m. Tuesday – Intersection of  North Main Street and West Crystal Flash Road, North Webster. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Ricardo Flores, 52, Wooster Road, Pierceton; Stephen Botchkai, 65, CR 850W, Pierceton. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. KCSD.

• 10:55 a.m. Tuesday – Police responded to a juvenile male who was refusing to go to school in the 900 block of East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. WPD.
• 8:24 p.m. Tuesday – A resident turned in a lost propane smoker in the 100 block of South Detroit Market Street, Warsaw. WPD. 
• 1:10 a.m. today – A resident reported being hit by a car in the 400 block of South Indiana Street, Warsaw. WPD.
