Triton Wins Regular-Season Home Finale Over Bremen
BOURBON – Triton senior Grant Johnson had a double-double in his final regular-season home game, scoring 22 points and grabbing 14 rebounds to lead the Trojans to a 50-41 win over Bremen in a non-conference boys basketball game Tuesday night.
Senior Zac Pitney canned nine free throws on his was to 13 points for Triton. Ryan Caldwell had 11 points to pace the visiting Lions.
Triton trailed 16-7 after the first quarter but cut the deficit to three by halftime. The Trojans outscored Bremen 15-4 in the third quarter to take control of the game.
The Trojans (16-5) close out the regular season Friday at Hoosier North Athletic Conference foe Knox (10-12). Triton owns at least a share of the HNAC title with a 7-0 record, and can claim the title outright with a win. Second-place Winamac has completed its HNAC season with a 7-1 record.

LCA Closes With Win
HOWE – Lakeland Christian claimed its eighth win of the season with a 68-34 victory at Howe Military Tuesday night.
The win doubled the total from the 2015-16 season, and matched the number of wins the Cougars have over the previous three seasons combined.
Josh McDaniel scored his 800th career point in the regular-season finale, moving him to fourth place on the LCA career scoring list. Landon Twombly cleared the 300-point barrier for his career Tuesday night.
With a first-round bye in the 1A Bethany Christian Sectional, the Cougars (8-15) are off until 6 p.m. March 3, when they will face the winner of Tuesday’s Fort Wayne Blackhawk vs. Elkhart Christian game in the tournament semifinals.
Wawasee Gymnasts Roll
SYRACUSE – Wawasee gymnasts swept the top four places in the all-around in a 105.875-90.950 victory over visiting Plymouth in the final meet of the regular season for the Lady Warriors.
Jada Parzygnot was first overall after winning the vault, bars and floor exercise and taking second on the beam. Remi Beckham was second overall, trading places in the events with Parzygnot. Alyssa Minnix and Drew Wegener finished third and fourth, respectively, in the all-around.
The Lady Warriors will compete in the Lakeland Sectional in LaGrange on March 4.
