JEFFERSON, Ga. – Margaret Ring Miller, 94, a native of Pierceton, died Feb. 17, 2017, in a nursing home at Griffin, Ga.
She was born in Pierceton on April 10, 1922, the daughter of Scott P. and Rosa V. Goodrich Ring. She graduated from Pierceton High School in 1940. After moving from Indiana, she lived in Jefferson and Milner, Ga., and volunteered with the Jackson County Senior Citizens Center for 18 years after her retirement. She was a member of the Galilee Christian Church, Jefferson.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Ann Frye, Fort Wayne; a son, Mickey Lee Miller (and spouse Sue) Powder Springs, Ga.; a daughter-in-law, Nelda Miller, Milner, Ga.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar J. Miller, formerly of Etna Green; a sister, Gladys Hagg, Warsaw; and two brothers, S. Paul Ring, Warsaw, and Eugene Ring, Warsaw and Whiteland.
Graveside memorial services for family and friends will be at 2 p.m. March 5 at the Galilee Christian Church cemetery, Jefferson, with the Rev. Tom Plank officiating.
