AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley will honor boys basketball coach Bill Patrick prior to its regular-season finale against Wawasee Feb. 24. Patrick is the winningest active coach in Indiana, and his 764 victories rank him second on the all-time list.
Valley Athletic Director Duane Burkhart would like Patrick’s former players to attend the ceremony and game.
Valley will also honor all senior winter sports athletes including cheerleaders, managers and band members that evening.
Young Tigers Hosting Clinics
Warsaw Young Tigers will be hosting football skill clinics on Saturdays between Feb. 18-March 11 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Baker Youth Club, 1401 E. Smith St. in Warsaw.
The clinics will be led by USA Football “Heads Up”-certified coaches, and the non-contact drills will focus on athletic development and football fundamentals.
Registration for the free clinics opens at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 18. Participants need to be ages 6-12. The organization will be accepting signups for the fall 2017 season at the clinics.

Manchester HOF Induction Friday
NORTH MANCHESTER – The 2017 Manchester Athletic Hall of Fame will hold its induction ceremony Friday at halftime of the boys varsity basketball game against Columbia City.
Five people comprise the class of 2017. Cris Brandenburg from boys basketball, David Cable and Bryant Wiley from boys tennis, Brady Miller from football and Larry J. Miller as an athletic contributor will be inducted.
The game will start at 7:45 p.m., following the junior varsity contest.
Triton HOF Banquet Saturday
BOURBON – Tickets for the Triton Athletic Department Hall of Fame Banquet on Saturday are on sale at the high school office. Tickets are $25 each, include a catered meal at the Back 40, and need to be ordered by the end of the business day Friday.
Dunes Volleyball Holding Skills Clinics On Saturdays
ROLLING PRAIRIE – The Dunes Volleyball club will host volleyball skills clinics on Saturdays through March 4.
The clinics will teach the basics of volleyball as well as speed and agility, hand-eye development, teamwork and lifelong athletic skills. The program has five age groups for boys and girls, ranging from age 3 through eighth grade.

Wildcats Baseball Fundraiser Breakfast Feb. 25
SOUTH WHITLEY – Whitko’s baseball program will host a pancake and sausage fundraiser breakfast from 7-11 a.m. Feb. 25 at the South Whitley AmVets. The cost is $5 per person or $20 for a family of four or more. Baked goods will also be available for purchase.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to purchase needed equipment and uniforms for the upcoming season.
