Jeanette Alwine, 96, Warsaw, passed away at 4:35 p.m. Feb. 12, 2017, in Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester. 
She was born Feb. 1, 1921, in Patterson, N.J., to Thomas and Jessie Dykstra Korenstra.
She was united in marriage to Phil Alwine on Feb. 1, 1947, in Michigan City; he preceded her March 22, 2005. 
Raised in Goshen, and a former resident of South Bend, in 1982 she moved to Irish Lake. She had 25 years of service with Sears in the clerical and audit department and retired in 1982 after serving in South Bend and Anderson. She attended the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Winona Lake.
Survivors include a son, Daniel E. (spouse Carol) Alwine, Warsaw; and brothers, Gary Korenstra, Punta Gorda, Fla., and Francis Korenstra, Syracuse. In addition, one grandson, four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren  survive. 
In addition to her husband, Phil, she was preceded by two sisters and four brothers.
Private services are scheduled. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Nappanee. 
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is entrusted with arrangements.
