County Jail Bookings
 The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:
• 10:25 a.m. Friday – Dennis James Prater, 52, of 9693 W. CR 125N, Etna Green, arrested on a warrant in a civil matter. No bond set.
• 10:42 a.m. Friday – Zachary Austin Lee Evans, 23, of 12 EMS B60 Lane, Warsaw, arrested for failure to appear. No bond set.
• 11:19 a.m. Friday – John Mitchell Dimmitt, 35, of 519B W. Winona Ave., Warsaw, arrested for domestic battery. Bond: $1,000.
• 11:49 a.m. Friday – Kailey Morgan Schue, 24, of 519B W. Winona Ave., Warsaw, arrested for domestic battery.  Bond: $1,000.
• 12:04 p.m. Friday – Jeffrey Allen Brown, 32, of 340 E. Levi Lee Road, Warsaw, arrested for strangulation. Bond: $6,000.
• 12:45 p.m. Friday – Ryan Lee Bussard, 40, of 636B Walter Way, Warsaw, arrested for theft. Bond: $10,250.

Accidents
• 4:07 a.m. Friday – North CR 150E south of East CR 350N, Warsaw. Pickup hit deer. Driver: Dustin E. Harty, 34, of North CR 175E, Warsaw. Damage: $1,000-$2,500. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.
• 6:50 a.m. Friday – Ind. 13, north of CR 500N, North Webster. Car hit deer. Driver: Shauna N. Magid, 31, Syracuse. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. KCSD.

Incidents
• 3:41 a.m. Friday – Police responded to an accident on South Ind. 25, Warsaw, where alcohol was believed to  have been a factor. KCSD.
• 10:45 a.m. Friday – Police investigated reports of domestic battery in the 500 block of Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Warsaw Police Department investigated.
• 2:22 p.m. Friday – Police investigated the report of a vandalized vehicle in the 1900 block of Sand Castle Drive, Warsaw. Damage: $100. WPD.

Sheriff Addressed Issues In The Jail Since Taking Office
Once taking office I knew how important it was going to be to have the right leadership in every division of the office, and the jail was certainly no exception. Upon taking office, I appointed Lt. Kevin Gelbaugh as the jail commander and Chad Marsh as the assistant jail commander, and to say I am proud of all their work and accomplishments would be an understatement.
