3 Arrested In Connection To Cromwell Armed Robbery

Three people have been arrested in connection to an armed robbery in Cromwell last weekend.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department was notified just after 7 p.m. Sunday of an armed robbery in the 9000 block of Lilac Lane, Cromwell. The victim told police he had arranged to sell a handgun to Tyler Ray Martin, 18, Albion. When Martin arrived at the residence, he allegedly pulled a handgun from his waistband and robbed the victim at gunpoint, according to the sheriff’s department. A 9mm Glock and accessories worth almost $600 were taken, police said.  
Detectives found Martin at his workplace in Noble County on Thursday morning and arrested him on a preliminary felony charge of robbery with a deadly weapon. He was taken to the Kosciusko County Jail and held on a $20,250 bond.
During their investigation, police said, detectives learned that the stolen handgun was taken to the residence of Corey Joseph Matthews, 19, at 135 EMS B61 B Lane, Warsaw. After obtaining a search warrant, and with the assistance of the Kosciusko County SWAT Team, officers located the stolen Glock 17 handgun and six other firearms, as well as drugs.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Matthews on a preliminary charge of felony dealing a schedule IV controlled substance, theft, possession of a controlled substance and dealing marijuana.
Hanna Jade Angel, 18, North Webster, was also at the residence. She was arrested on a preliminary charge of visiting a common nuisance.
A 17-year-old juvenile who was also in the residence was released to the custody of her parents.
Angel’s bond has been set at $400, while Matthews’ bond was set at $26,500.
