Lady Trojans’ Sectional Upset Bid Of Argos Falls Shy

CULVER – Triton kept things close late into its 1A Culver Community girls basketball sectional game, but No. 3 Argos prevailed 34-28 Wednesday night
It was the third time Argos beat Triton this season, and the closest of the three games. Triton trailed 23-22 entering the fourth quarter, but were outscored 11-6 in the final eight minutes.
Hannah Wanemacher led Triton with 11 points, while Courtney Dunlap had a game-high 18 for Argos.
The Lady Dragons (20-2) advanced to take on North Miami (12-11) in the sectional semifinals Friday.
Triton finished the season with an 8-15 record.
