He was born Nov. 25, 1934, in Warsaw, to Harold A. and Violet Jones Hile. He married Bonnie Kay Kindig on June 17, 1962, in Warsaw; she survives.
He retired from Zimmer, Warsaw, in 1998. He also was in the automobile sales for Bledsoe Buick and Pontiac of Warsaw for 20 years.
He was a graduate of Warsaw High School in 1953. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Hile, Mentone; a daughter, Tami (husband Gary) Keaffaber, Macy; a son, Kris Hile, Mentone; granddaughters: Jennifer (husband Jeff) Meyer, Albion; Kacie Keaffaber, Fort Wayne; and Holly Keaffaber, Macy; and great-grandchildren, Hayley and Drew Meyer.
He was preceded by his parents; a sister, Winfred Krietzer; and a brother, Harley Hile.
Following Harold’s request, no services are planned. Burial will be in Mentone Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to King Memorial Home, Mentone.
