Barbara Doty Shelton Purrington, 88, formerly of Warsaw, died at 3 a.m. Dec. 24, 2017, in Conroe (Texas) Health Care Center.

She was born in Warsaw on March 6, 1929, to Russell and Elizabeth Oborn Doty. She married James A. Shelton on June 12, 1949, in Pendleton. He died in June 1977. She married Edwin S. Purrington on Dec. 27, 1981, in Warsaw. He died in November 2012.

A memorial gathering is being planned for the spring.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is entrusted with arrangements.
