He was born May 5, 1929, in Elkhart County to Wilbur Homer and Dolla Long Lantz. On Dec. 3, 1949, he married Rosemary Hummell, who preceded him in 2016.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed by Liberty Homes, as well as Commodore Homes, where he retired.
He is survived by his brother, Robert Lantz, Syracuse; his granddaughter, Jamie (Ben) Parish, Howe; two step-granddaughters, Chastity Brickey, Syracuse, and Christina (Shane) Barhydt, Ligonier; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one nephew, Michael (Ausra) Lantz, Port St. Lucie, Fla.
He was preceded by his wife; two sons, Tim and Greg; one brother; and two sisters.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at Eastlund Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Syracuse Cemetery.
Calling will be two hours prior to the service, from noon until 2 p.m.
