Unbeaten Lancers Down Tippecanoe Valley, 60-43
AKRON – Cam Parker scored 15 points and Tanner Trippiedi added 14 for Tippecanoe Valley in its 60-43 non-conference boys basketball loss to visiting LaVille Friday night.
The Lancers remained undefeated (9-0) with the win. They were led by Luke Beehler’s 22 points.
Valley trailed 19-7 after the first period and 29-14 at intermission. The teams each scored 12 points in the third quarter, but Valley was never able to draw close.
The Vikings (2-8) host John Glenn Thursday in a non-conference game originally scheduled for Dec. 9.

SOUTH WHITLEY – Ellie Snep tallied 10 points and 17 rebounds for host Whitko in its 80-33 non-conference girls basketball loss to 1A No. 7 Oregon Davis Friday night.
Taylor Reiff added nine points and five steals in the game.
Whitko (1-14) is off until Jan. 6 when it hosts a Three Rivers Conference game with Rochester.
Squires 4th, Triton 10th, Valley 13th In Tourney
ROCHESTER – Manchester’s Delton Moore was the champion at 160 pounds in the John McKee Memorial Invitational wrestling tournament at Rochester Friday.
McKee led the Squires to a fourth-place finish in the team standings, behind Plymouth, Rochester and Maconaquah. Triton finished 10th and Tippecanoe Valley 13th in the standings.
Other top area finishers were Delano Shumpert of Triton, second at 113, with Elijah Burlingame (106) and Wade France (152) of Manchester finishing third in their divisions. Manchester’s Braden Fortner (138), Valley’s Jonathan Humes (152) and Triton’s Billy smith (285) each finished fourth in their classes.
Valley will wrestle at Caston Jan. 4. Triton will compete in a tournament at Maconaquah, and Manchester will compete in the East Noble Invitational Jan. 6.
