Winners were Tom Anderson, Jim Levandis, Bob Mayer, John Wagley, Sharon Tuttle, Helen Miller and Joan Earhart.
The next meeting is Dec. 20.
Winona Literary Club
WINONA LAKE — The Winona Literary Club met Dec. 13 at the Robinhood Community Center with 26 members and one guest present.
The business meeting was conducted by President Carol Volkers. Marcia South presented book reviews on "Inspired Evidence" and a child's book on learning everything they need to know in kindergarten. This was followed by the singing of Christmas songs accompanied by Norma Roose, who also read several of her original poems.
Light refreshments concluded the meeting.
The group’s next meeting is March 7.
Pierceton Senior Citizens Club
PIERCETON — President John led nine members and one guest in Pledge of Allegiance to open the November meeting, followed by prayer. A carry-in dinner and time for conversation followed.
Sean Andersen from Greater Lakes Caring shared information about the services they offer to treat someone in their home so they can maintain independence. Private duty non-skilled care includes extra help around the house and medication reminders. Skilled care, funded by Medicare, is also available, as is hospice care.
Greater Lakes Caring also provides services such as physical, occupational, speech, music and massage therapy. An on-site social worker will help families find resources such as Meals on Wheels. They have nurses available all of the time for fast response. Their pledge is to do whatever possible to provide services that allow clients to stay in their homes.
Carolyn read the treasurer's report. The club’s funds are low, which causes a $7 fee from PNC. Dues for 2018 can be paid now.
All seniors in the Pierceton area are invited to club meetings. Peggy Owens will be the entertainment Dec. 18. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a carry-in dinner. There also will be Christmas songs.
Lunch is available every day at the center. To make a reservation, call 574-594-5632.
Four Seasons Ladies Bridge
The group met Dec. 13 at The Great Wall.
Winners were Joan Earhart, Erma Swank, Maxine Harris and Peg Zimmerman.
Dorothy Sweeney was hostess.
Singles Meeting Friends
The recent cold snap affected the group’s attendance this week.
Those who attended said they had a “marvelous time” at the Christmas dinner theater at Quaker Haven. The meeting also included euchre and discussion of holiday plans.
Donald G. sent an email from Florida sharing versions of oatmeal cookies he was baking for the holidays.
The group meets at 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday at Martin’s Super Market, Warsaw.

NORTH WEBSTER — Bridge results from the Senior Prime Enrichment Center have been announced.
Jean Cowan was first and Mike Wyrick was second.
