ROCHESTER – Both the weather outside and the shooting inside the Rochester gym was frosty, but the host Lady Zebras outscored Triton 19-13 in the fourth quarter to take a 32-28 non-conference basketball win Wednesday night.

Both teams shot 36 percent from the floor, missed more than half of their free throws and hit one three-pointer each.

Triton had as many points in the first half as it did in the fourth quarter, while Rochester scored more points in the final eight minutes than in its first three periods.

Hannah Wanemacher and Whytnie Miller led Triton with six points each. Abigail Powell had five points and Nichole Sechrist four for the Lady Trojans.

Kennedy Musselman had game-highs with 13 points and nine rebounds for Rochester.

The junior varsity contest went to Triton 35-20 over Rochester. Abbey Viers had nine points and Akyra Oswalt eight in the winning effort.

Triton (5-8) travels to Royal Center for a Hoosier North Athletic Conference game with Pioneer Saturday.
