A social worker with Kosciusko County Child Protective Services spoke with the victim who said that she spent the night at the Burket residence. Around 4 p.m., she went for a walk and Deturk went with her. During the walk, Deturk asked her if he could grab her butt, but she said no several times. He then asked if she liked to have oral sex. He told the victim that he had an arrangement with his girlfriend that he could sleep with one other person. Deturk also asked her age and said she was much prettier than his girlfriend. The victim hurried up and walked back to the residence, the affidavit states.
At his residence, Deturk allegedly hugged and grabbed the victim’s butt. He then took a shower and came out with sweatpants on. Deturk then removed the sweatpants and walked up behind the victim completely naked. He made suggestive comments to her and touched himself. The victim observed Deturk naked, but he put his pants back on when his girlfriend came into the room.
Numerous times during the night, Deturk asked the victim if she wanted to sleep with him.
The KCSD officer spoke with Deturk, who admitted he went on a walk with the victim but didn’t remember much after that. Deturk allegedly admitted he sent a text message to the victim, stating he was sorry for what he did because everyone was telling him he did those things, but that he didn’t remember them.
