Willard “Buck” Prater Jr., 50, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, in his home at Sellers Lake.

He was born April 15, 1967, to Willard Prater Sr. and Geraldine Engle Prater. He attended area schools and spent most of his lifetime in Kosciusko County and Kentucky.

Buck always enjoyed time spent with family and enjoyed teasing them, too. He found pleasure in little things like chopping wood, hunting and fishing, and was a listener of country music.

Buck’s family will celebrate his life privately. No public services are planned at this time.

His surviving family includes two sons, Bucky Willard Prater Kado and Dustin Blake Prater Kado; three sisters: Theresa Ousley, Rochester; Juanita (Harold Sr.) Hyde, Mentone; and Julie Nickell, Florida; a brother, Guber Prater, Sellers Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Those who preceded him in passing include his parents and a brother, Jeremiah Prater.
