Lady Tigers Beat Memorial Again; This Time In NLC Play

After beating Elkhart Memorial in tournament play Saturday, Warsaw swept the Crimson Chargers 25-17, 25-16, 25-21 in Northern Lakes Conference volleyball in the Tiger Den Tuesday.

Alexie Day had nine kills for the Lady Tigers (8-3 overall, 1-0 in the NLC) with Kacy Bragg adding six kills. Erin Peugh had 18 digs and Emali Grose added nine more for the Lady Tigers.

Warsaw won the JV match 11-25, 25-16, 15-14 over Memorial. Gwyn Bellamy had eight kills, and Courtney Chookie added seven kills. McKenna Hawblitzel had eight digs in the winning cause.

The Lady Tiger freshmen won a tight match, 25-23, 24-25, 15-8 over the Lady Chargers. Tessa Wood had eight kills, and Kendra Love had eight assists and five aces. Sydney Morel had eight digs.

Warsaw will host Goshen at 7 p.m. Thursday in Northern Lakes Conference play.

Lady Trojans Win

BOURBON – Triton came back after dropping the first set to claim a 17-25, 25-21, 25-20, 25-21 victory over Knox in a Hoosier North Athletic Conference match Tuesday.

Nicole Sechrist had 17 kills, 12 digs and three aces for the Lady Trojans. Hannah Wanemacher had 25 assists and two blocks. Tatum Hargrave had four aces, with Abbey Viers and Charlotte Morris adding eight kills each.

Knox won the junior varsity match, 25-9, 25-8.

The Lady Trojams are now 4-3 overall after its first HNAC win of the season. They will travel to Culver Community Thursday for a conference match.



Valley Wins TRC Match On The Road

PERU – Sophie Bussard had 20 digs and 16 kills to lead Tippecanoe Valley to a 20-25, 25-12, 25-15, 25-19 win at Peru in Three Rivers Conference volleyball Tuesday.

Emily Peterson had 34 assists and Shayleigh Shriver added eight aces to the Valley attack.

The junior varsity won its match 25-9, 25-13 over the host Tigers. Sidney Wagoner had six kills, Allison Betten had four aces and Sarah Myers had nine assists in the match.

Valley will travel to Bunker Hill and take on Maconaquah in a TRC match Thursday.



Lady Cougars Fall In Five Sets

WINONA LAKE – Heather Plastow had 14 digs and six aces for Lakeland Christian in its 22-25, 25-16, 23-25, 25-15, 15-10 loss to visiting Culver Academies Thursday in a volleyball match.

Kyla Kohler had 17 assists, nine kills and six aces for the Lady Cougars. Cami Dahms had eight kills and eight digs, Bayley Wiley had seven kills and Carlie Wise had six kills. Morgan Ziebarth added 11 digs for the Lady Cougars.
