Fans of the annual Hither & Yon décor sale have one more chance to participate in the fundraiser.

Creighton’s Crazy Egg Café will host the fourth and final Hither & Yon sale – a benefit for school children in Zambia – Friday and Saturday.

Doors will open at Creighton’s Crazy Egg Café at 9 a.m. Friday and Saturday. The Cafe is at 4217 W. Old 30, west of Warsaw.

The event will include repurposed furniture and unique home furnishings including pillows, lamps, wall art and other craft items. All of the proceeds will be used to support education for children in Zambia – for whom a high school graduation can be life altering, according to a news release about the event.

“We have had a good run of it,” said Amber Hodorek, one of the organizers of the event. “It was never meant to be something that would last forever.”

“We’ve raised enough money to make sure that the kids who are in our scholarship program will be supported through their time in school,” Hodorek said.

The annual event had been held previously at Lakeland Christian Academy.

As a ministry of Mission Point Community Church, Hither & Yon has existed with the sole focus of fostering hope through education.

“While it is bittersweet, we are very excited to host this final sale at Creighton’s Crazy Egg Cafe,” said Laurie Victa, manager of Hither & Yon.

Through a partnership with a group of churches in rural Zambia, Hither & Yon has been able to establish an education project and identify students who are at risk for dropping out of school due to financial hardship.

“We have made such an impact in the lives of the students in our scholarship program and we want to finish strong with one last sale,” Victa said.

The group also is taking donations for the cause.
