Warsaw Tennis Rolls To Win Over Mishawka Marian
MISHAWAKA – Warsaw had wins at both doubles positions and took two of three singles matches to roll to a 4-1 win at Mishawaka Marian Wednesday in a non-conference boys tennis match..
Bailey Buhrt and Kyler Bartol took a straight-set victory at No. 1 doubles, as did Nolan Knight and Reuben Williams at No. 2 doubles. Spencer Britton and Caleb Williams also won in straight sets at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively.
In junior varsity play, Warsaw won eight of nine matches contested.
Now 2-1 on the season, the Tigers open Northern Lakes Conference play today, hosting Elkhart Memorial at 5 p.m.

Triton Drops HNAC Match
KNOX – Triton’s boys tennis team suffered its first Hoosier North Athletic Conference loss, 3-2 at Knox on Wednesday.
The Trojans won both doubles matches. Keygan Mosier and Chase Butler on in straight sets at No. 1 doubles, as did Jared Bules and Tyler Heckaman at No. 2.
The matchup boiled down to No. 2 singles, where Knox’s Jake Krueger won a three-set match over John Gardner.
Knox won all three junior varsity matches as well.
Now 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the conference, Triton will host LaVille in HNAC play Tuesday.

Squires Swept In TRC Play
PERU – Manchester suffered its first loss of the Three Rivers Conference boys tennis season Wednesday, dropping a 5-0 decision at Peru.
The Tigers seized control early, according to Manchester coach Eric Screeton. The fast start had the Squires playing on their heels.
“We knew Peru was going to be a challenge tonight, but I am very pleased with our effort and competitive fire. We will bounce back,” said Screeton.
All five junior varsity matches were also won by Peru.
Manchester takes a 3-3 record into its next match Tuesday, when the Squires host Bluffton.

Bremen Beats Triton, Valley In Girls Golf Match
ROCHESTER – Bremen’s girls golf team earned two wins Wednesday with a score of 201 to Triton’s 236 and Tippecanoe Valley’s 276 at Round Barn Golf Club.
Megan McFarland and Delanie Groves each shot 57 to lead Triton. Whytnie Miller had a 59, with Kate Gardner and Alysha May each posting a score of 63.
Makayla Sandbakken had a 57 for Valley, with Jordan Krotke shooting a 65. Bethany Johnson had a 66 and Kelsey Shafer an 88 for the Lady Vikings.
Abigail Fishel had a 53 for Lakeland Christian, and Brianna Smith had a 73 for the Lady Cougars.
Triton will play John Glenn and host Knox on Monday. Valley will play Whitko and host Manchester in a Three Rivers Conference match today at Sycamore Golf Club.
