Manchester Boys Tennis Rolls To Sweep Of Churubusco

NORTH MANCHESTER – In a match where no Manchester position lost more than three games, the Squire boys tennis team rolled to a 5-0 win over visiting Churubusco in a non-conference competition Monday.

Luke Donathan won 6-0, 6-1 over Noah Grimm at No. 1 singles, and Spence Trick won 6-1, 6-1 over Andy Bowyer at No. 2 singles.

Logan Parrett and Parker Wagoner defeated Andrew Boggers and Mason Gonlasicha 6-1, 6-1 at No 1 doubles. Kam Lester and Kyle Shepherd rolled to a 6-1, 6-2 win over J.D. Krider and Tyler Miller.

There was no match at No. 3 singles, and no junior varsity play.

Manchester (3-0) returns to Three Rivers Conference play Wednesday with a trip to Peru.



Warsaw Tennis Postponed

The tennis match between Warsaw and Mishawaka Marian was postponed Monday due to transportation issues for the Tigers.

The match was moved to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Marian.



Whitko Tennis Blanked

COLUMBIA CITY – The Whitko boys tennis team fell 5-0 at Columbia City.

The Wildcats will play a non-conference match at Wawasee on Aug. 29.



Lady Wildcats Fall

LAKEVILLE – LaVille scored four goals in the first half and rolled to a 9-0 win over visiting Whitko in a non-conference girls soccer match Monday.

The Lady Wildcats will host Rochester in a Three Rivers Conference match Thursday.



Braves Edge Vikings

BUNKER HILL – Fabian Mar scored twice for Tippecanoe Valley in a 3-2 Three Rivers Conference loss at Maconaquah Monday.

The Vikings had four shots on goal; three by Mar and one by Alan Jimenez.

Valley has another TRC match today at Wabash.



Valley VB Falls

MARION – Shayleigh Shriver and Sophie Bussard had eight kills each for Tippecanoe Valley in its 25-18, 25-20, 25-18 non-conference volleyball loss at Marion Monday.

Emily Peterson had 19 assists for the Lady Vikings. Olivia Trippiedi, Sarah Myers and Bussard had seven digs each, and Trippiedi had a pair of aces in the match.

The Lady Viking junior varsity lost in three sets, 21-25, 25-18, 15-11 to the Lady Giants. Sidney Wagoner had 10 kills and Hannah Engstrand had 10 assists for Valley. Allison Betten had 10 digs.

The Lady Vikings travel to Winamac for a non-conference match today.



Zebras Beat Triton

ROCHESTER – Nicole Sechrist had seven kills and seven digs for Triton in its 25-12, 25-15, 25-7 non-conference volleyball loss at Rochester Monday.

Hannah Wanemacher had 11 assists, Sydney Musilli had a pair of aces and Lexia Hostrawser had two blocks for Triton.

The Lady Trojans travel to Bremen today. First serve will be around 7 p.m.
