A third man was arrested Thursday in connection with  a series of storage unit thefts across Kosciusko County.

Scotty Allen Poe, 18, of 600 Oldfather St., Warsaw, is facing one count each of burglary, theft and forgery.

Between June 27 and Aug. 4, multiple police departments responded to break-ins at different storage units.

Among the items taken was a checkbook from one of the victims, according to court records.

Police traced a forged check for $280 to Poe.

Police say Poe admitted to breaking the locks off the units and stealing items.
