Charles W. “Charlie” Laster, 84, Warsaw, passed away at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, at his home. 

He was born Nov. 26, 1932, in Harvey, Ill., to Edward and Addie Pool Laster. 

He grew up in Illinois and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. On March 28, 1953, in Harvey, he married Betty Jane Lallak, who preceded him on Aug. 1, 2010. 

He retired as a supervisor from the Whiting Corp., Harvey, and in 2001 he moved to the Warsaw area. On Oct. 27, 2012, in Warsaw, he married Marcia Ann Fisher, who survives.

“I will always remember wrapping my arms around you at the end. Lifting you up into the bed to make you comfortable. Then you would give me your three special kisses that you have given me the past seven years. My heart will always ache for your sweet love, Charlie. Now God will comfort you.” – Marcia 

He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife.

A memorial service and private burial will take place at a later date. 

Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
