FORT WAYNE – Squaring off against some of the better teams in the state, Manchester opened its girls golf season with a fifth-place finish at the Homestead Invitational Monday.

Samantha Kissel paced the Lady Squires with an 88, followed by Kelsey Eichenauer at 90. Madyson Ulrey and Lydia Little each shot 91, and Cora Barnett posted a 98 for Manchester.

Manchester was right back at it, playing in the Penn Invitational this morning. The Lady Squires will also play in the Huntington North Invitational Wednesday morning.
