SYRACUSE –Wawasee will be hosting its Physical Night from 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday in the P.E. Annex gym at Wawasee High School. All athletes grades 5-11 participating in athletics next year need to have a sports physical by July 1. The cost is $25, with proceeds benefitting Wawasee Athletics.

Bre’s Run Set for July 8
BOURBON – The first “Bre’s Run” half-marathon, 5K and fun run will be July 8 at Triton Junior-Senior High School. Registration and sponsorship information can be obtained by going to the event’s Facebook page or contacting Courtney Jennings at [email protected].
Akron Speedway Opening May 6
AKRON – Several events are planned for the 2017 season at Akron Speedway, beginning with go-kart races on opening day, May 6.
Other activities include “Crusin’ in the Badlands,” a car show on May 19, and the Brady Houck 10th anniversary memorial race for the CLONE 360# class, with $500 to win plus a brand new set of four Hoosier Tires.
There will be three other $500 to win races, scheduled later in the summer. The Mow-Wheelin Lawn Mower series comes to the track on June 25. Parkview Warsaw Foundation Golf Outing May 15
The inaugural Parkview Foundation Warsaw Mission Fund Golf Classic will be May 15 at Tippecanoe Country Club. Proceeds will support the needs of Parkview Warsaw patients and their families through the Parkview Foundation Warsaw Mission Fund.
Participants will have lunch at noon with tee time starting at 1 p.m. Awards and hors d'oeuvres will follow the round of golf.

Valley Physicals On Wednesday
AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley will offer sports physicals at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the corporation’s middle school. Physicals for student-athletes who will be in grades 5-12 this fall will be available for $15.

Squire Camp Registration Open
NORTH MANCHESTER – Registration forms for Manchester Summer Sports Camps are now available at any Manchester school.
Camps are available for boys and girls in tennis, soccer, basketball and volleyball. Costs vary depending on the type of camp and the age group.

Valley Sports Ads On Sale
AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley High School Athletic Department is soliciting advertising for the 2017-18 athletic programs.
Cost is $125 for a family or business ad in next year’s sports programs. Call the TVHS Athletic Office at 574-598-2103 for further details.
There are also opportunities to advertise on a scrolling ad sign in the gym. Interested parties should call the athletic department for information and pricing.
