Triton Baseball Routs Knox Again In Conference Play
KNOX – After scoring eight runs in the fifth inning of a 10-0 home win over Knox Monday, Triton did it to the Redskins again Tuesday, only by a wider margin and on the road.
The Trojans scored eight runs in the first, and 10 in the third to cruise to a 19-0 win in Hoosier North Athletic Conference play.
Senior Zac Pitney drove in five runs, with Max Slusser and Dylan Hensley collecting three RBIs each. Slusser scored four runs, with Nate Flenar, Hensley, Pitney, Keygan Moiser, Connor Pitney and Ty Ferry scoring twice each.
Flenar allowed just three hits and struck out nine for the win on the mound.
Triton is off until Saturday, when it travels to North Judson for a conference game.
Lady Trojans Edge LaVille
BOURBON – Triton had straight-set wins from all three of its singles players in a 3-2 Hoosier North Athletic Conference girls tennis win over LaVille Tuesday.
Kolbie Mason won 6-1, 6-1 over Rachel Ross at No. 1 singles. Hannah Wanemacher and Emma Ross, undefeated at No. 1 doubles this year, won at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively.
Now 3-1 in the conference and 4-3 overall, Triton will host North Judson today in another conference match.

Whitko Sweeps Northrop
SOUTH WHITLEY – Morgan Keirn shut out her opponent at No. 1 singles, and Delaney Keirn came within a game of doing likewise at No. 2 singles, leading Whitko to a 5-0 non-conference win over Fort Wayne Northrop in girls tennis Tuesday.
Jackie Werstler won in straight sets at No. 3 singles for the Lady Wildcats. Jessica and Gracie Hook needed three sets to win at No. 1 doubles. Jenna VanCuren and Manon Sonneville continued their winning ways at No. 2 doubles with a 6-4, 6-4 victory.
Whitko’s junior varsity won three of five matches. Winners were Natalie Iholtz, Kayla Schipper, and the doubles team of Izzy Rayner and Katherine Ousley.
The Lady Wildcats host Wabash in a Three Rivers Conference match Thursday.

HUNTINGTON – Pitcher Ellie Snep struck out eight in five innings of work, and had a double for Whitko in its 3-2, 10-inning loss at Huntington North in a non-conference softball game Monday.
The Lady Wildcats return to Three Rivers conference play today when they host Southwood.

Warsaw swept both doubles matches and won at No. 2 and No. 3 singles to take a 4-1 girls tennis win over Memorial in Northern Lakes Conference play Tuesday.
Athena Schlitt and Colette Smith had the toughest match, needing three sets to win at No. 1 doubles. Rachel Yeager and Libby Jenkins won in straight sets at No. 2 doubles, as did Ella Knight and Alyssa Zellers at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively.

Eagles Rally To Beat Valley
CULVER – Tippecanoe Valley scored seven runs in the fourth inning, but host Culver Academy rallied with four runs in the bottom of the seventh frame to beat the Vikings 8-7 in a non-conference baseball game Tuesday.
The Vikings had seven hits, including two for extra bases, with Adam Myers getting multiple hits.
Valley returns to Three Rivers Conference play today, hosting Maconaquah at 5 p.m.
Viking Golfers Victorious
CULVER – Freshman Cade Brouyette shot a 42 to lead Tippecanoe Valley to a 191-273 win over Culver Community at Mystic Hills Golf Club Tuesday.
Jeremy Julian turned in a 47 for Valley, and Chris Schipper had a 50. Noah Hoffman had a 52 and John Young a 55.
Austin Crill had a 60 to lead the Viking junior varsity, and Bryce Madeford had a 61. Wyatt Hall had a 65, and Bryston Canada shot a 68.
Valley will play in the Rochester Invitational Saturday at Mill Creek/Round Barn Golf Club.
Peru Blanks Valley
PERU – Tippecanoe Valley’s girls tennis team dropped a Three Rivers Conferrence match 5-0 at Peru Tuesday.
The Lady Vikings have a non-conference match at John Glenn in Walkerton today.
Wawasee Girls Tennis Beats Northridge
MIDDLEBURY – Warsaw’s Kabrea Rostochak and Kendra Doerr came back from a set down and trailed 5-2 in the second set to win at No. 1 doubles, and it was the difference in the Lady Warriors 3-2 win at Northridge Tuesday.
Peyton Rookstool won in straight sets at No. 2 singles, and the No. 2 doubles team of Courtney Larson and Taylor Mock did likewise.
“Amazing come-from-behind win,” said Wawasee coach Shane Staley. “Really proud of my girls for their fight and for securing their second conference win of the year.”
Wawasee improved to 6-7 overall and 2-1 in the Northern Lakes Conference. The Lady Warriors host Warsaw on Thursday.
