Altrusa International Of Warsaw
Kosciusko Community Senior Services Executive Director David Neff and Mobile Meals Manager Jamie Krygowski shared information about their services at Altrusa International of Warsaw's April program meeting.
In addition to Mobile Meals, the organization provides handicapped-accessible van transportation door-to-door throughout Kosciusko County. Their Senior Activity Center provides professional, educational and informational activities to improve the lives of seniors age 50 and older. This includes information and referrals, legal services, senior health insurance information, tax consultation and a nutrition program. They also provide elder abuse programs, a foot clinic and various seminars.
Altrusa International of Warsaw has served the local community since 1973.

Winona Literary Club
President Carol Volkers opened the April 12 meeting of Winona Literary Club. Leafy Hudson led the collect and offered prayer. Hostesses Nancy Wuthrich and Joyce Griffith used a spring theme to decorate tables.
Rose Marie Henning introduced S.W.A.T. from Lakeland Christian Academy. This student worship arts team sang Christian music accompanied by piano, drums and guitar. Members are Carlie Wise, Lyness Mudila, Natalie Plastow, Colby Stevens, Chance Blair and Jacob Schmitt.
Karolyn Barrus delivered an enthusiastic book report on “Angel in Aisle 3” by Kevin West. Barrus related the true story of a mysterious vagrant and a convicted bank executive.
Fellowhip and refreshments were enjoyed after a short business meeting.
American Assn. of University Women
The Warsaw affiliate of American Association of University Women met April 17 at Lakeview Middle School.  
Amanda Scroggs, librarian, presented on the Maker Space Club, which meets on Monday afternoon. The purpose of the club is to provide an opportunity for students to make projects and learn new skills. Some of the skills students learn are tech repair, carpentry, sewing, knitting, paper-making, Legos and problem solving. A goal of the Maker Space is for students to run the stations and mentor one another.  
After refreshments, Pam Chastain brought the meeting to order. She said dues are payable at the May Brunch, which will be at Belle Vitale on May 20. In addition, the annual garage sale (proceeds go to the scholarship fund) will be May 5-6 at June Stealy's home. Members are needed to sign up for a time slot to work at the sale, and merchandise is needed.
In new business, the nominating committee has slated candidates for treasurer, vice president for programs and vice president for membership. They were approved by the members. Cindy Nolton, Linda Scalet and Ruth Jones will be installed at the May meeting.

Four Seasons Ladies Bridge
The Four Seasons Ladies Bridge group met April 19 at Wyndham Garden Hotel.
Winners were Sondra Dicken, Peg Zimmerman, Maxine Harris and Dorothy Sweeney.  Erma Swank was hostess.

Wednesday Night Bridge
The Wednesday Night Bridge group had five busy tables of bridge on April 19. Each of the 20 active players played 24 hands.
The final winners were Mary Prescott, Tony Frazzetta, Liz Frazzetta, Joan Earhart, Sharon Tuttle and Jim Levandis.  
Bob Mayer and Joan Kizer were host and hostess.

Singles Meeting Friends
There was a nice crowd at this week’s meeting of Singles Meeting Friends.
The group welcomed a new member, Marty. Don was back from Florida, and Chris was back after having her knee replaced four weeks ago.
Members discussed surgeries and vacations planned in the next few months.
The group meets Wednesdays at Martin’s Super Market.

Wyndham Garden Hotel Bridge group met April 20 with Rosalee Spear as hostess.
Winners were Betty Walston, Joan Kizer and Bob Mayer.
