LAKEVILLE – Triton blew open a close game with a six-run sixth inning and earned an 8-2 Hoosier North Athletic Conference win at LaVille Monday.
Zac Pitney had a triple among his two hits, and drove in three runs. Dylan Hensley earned the win on the mound, pitching six innings, allowing two runs and striking out seven.
The two teams meet again today at Triton.
Lady Trojans Open With HNAC Win Over Knox
BOURBON – Kolbie Mason won in straight sets at No. 1 singles, and Quinn Downing won a three-set match at No. 2 singles to lead Triton to a 3-2 win over visiting Knox in a Hoosier North Athletic Conference win Monday.
Emma Ross and Hannah Wanemacher earned the first Lady Trojan match win of the season, winning in 14 games at No. 1 doubles.
The Triton junior varsity won its match 3-1 over Knox.
Triton will host Tippecanoe Valley on Wednesday.
