Charles Koontz and Alice Snider were married in Pennsyvania on April 13, 1957. The groom's father, Herman Koontz, and the bride's brother, R. Wayne Snider, officiated.
Charles retired as manager of the Christian Light Bookstore, Nappanee. Previously, he managed the College Bookstore, Winona Lake. After his retirement he was employed by Patona Bay Boat Service and Ace Hardware.
Alice retired from Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, where she served as secretary. Later she was employed part time by Right to Life of North Central Indiana.
The couple have three children, David (Linda) Koontz and Steve (Christine) Koontz, both of Winona Lake, and Doug Koontz, Warsaw. In addition to their children, the couple have five grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
