She was born on May 31, 1926, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, to Charity (Clark) Kendrick and Carl Kendrick. On Feb. 6, 1944, she was married to Edward Crase Sr., who passed away on Sept. 23, 1993.
Mildred was a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 51 years, where she was a member of God’s Highway To Heaven Church in Warsaw and a homemaker. She loved to quilt, sew and spoil her grandchildren.
She will be lovingly remembered by her five sons: Ed (wife Ruby) Crase, Warsaw; Harry (wife Edath) Crase, Silver Lake; Ken (wife Joyce) Crase, Leesburg; James (wife Becky) Crase, Warsaw; Joe (wife Pam) Crase, Warsaw; and three daughters: Ora Prater, Silver Lake; Barbara (husband James) Risner, Warsaw; Peggy Allen, Leesburg. She also leaves behind 28 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Delmar Kendrick, Prestonsburg; Carl (wife Mary) Kendrick, Winona Lake; Harold Goble, Corbin, Kentucky; and two sisters: Amy Conley, Michigan; Betty Goble, Prestonsburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister, one brother and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at God’s Highway to Heaven Church, 555 W. Webber St., Warsaw.
Her funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, April 10, at God’s Highway to Heaven Church and officiated by Pastor Bob Brown. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.
Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
