Charles “Bub” Hartman was honored by the Kosciusko County Commissioners as the Veteran of the Month earlier this week. He served in the U.S. Air Force for more than two years and was based at what is known today as Rickenbacker Air Force Base in Ohio. He specialized in plumbing, but also did work in heating and cooling as well as painting. Afterward he worked several jobs, but spent nearly 30 years as a policeman in Illinois.
