K.C. Youth Bureau Plans 5K April 29

Kosciusko Cares Youth Services Bureau will host its April Fool's 5K on April 29 in Winona Lake.
The annual event is open to serious runners as well as friends and families seeking to take a leisurely walk through scenic Winona Lake, according to a news release from the organization.

The 5K will be timed by the Fort Wayne Runners Club.
The event will include clowns, balloon animals, bubbles and some goofy shenanigans. The best-dressed jesters will win a prize, the release said.
Registration forms may be downloaded at www.kosciuskocares.org. Online registration is available at RunSignUp.com. Search for April Fool's 5K, Winona Lake, Indiana.
On-site registration is available from 8-8:41 a.m. Race time is 9 a.m.
The mission of the Kosciusko Cares Youth Services Bureau is to advocate for, support and promote healthy youth development.
The Youth Services Bureau offers evidence-based and data-driven prevention programs and strategies for youth and families in Kosciusko County.
Programs include Strengthening Families, Al's Pals and Life Skills training. The Youth Services Bureau is also home to the Teen Film Camp, Safe Place and Teen Court — coming soon.  
The group is committed to building resources to support schools and youth-serving organizations, and working with teens to build leadership skills and offer creative arts opportunities.
