Gospel Bluegrass Concert Is Saturday
Charlie "Pappy" Whitaker and The Boys will be in concert at 6 p.m. Saturday at Warsaw Family Worship Center.
Charlie "Pappy" Whitaker and The Boys have performed with Bill Monroe and other bluegrass artists. Admission is free; a freewill offering will be taken.
The church is at 1250 Husky Trail next to Martin’s Super Market. Husky Trail is closed because of construction; visitors should turn onto East CR 200N at U.S. 30 (at R&B Car Company), then turn right on Husky Trail at four-way stop.

Community Grace Announces Easter Events
Community Grace Brethren Church is planning special services in honor of Easter weekend.
A Good Friday service will be at 7 p.m. April 14.  
An Easter breakfast will be at 8:30 a.m. April 16, followed by an Easter worship service at 10 a.m.
Everyone is welcome to all celebrations.

ATWOOD — Atwood Aldersgate United Methodist Church invites the public to come as you are to its April 16 services celebrating the resurrection of Jesus.
The morning begins with a sunrise service with holy communion at 7:30 a.m., followed by at Easter breakfast at 8 a.m. The Easter worship service will be at 9 a.m.

Clunette UMC Planning Holy Week Events
CLUNETTE — Clunette United Methodist Church invites the public to come as you are to several gatherings during Holy Week and Easter.
On Sunday, the Clunette UMC choir will present the Easter cantata “Amazing Love, How Can It Be” at 7 p.m.
At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, kids of all ages are invited to an Easter egg hunt. Those who come should bring their own baskets. The hunt will be outdoors unless it rains.
The Soul Searchers Youth Group also will meet Wednesday. Children of all ages are invited to stay for a meal, games, crafts and activities until 8 p.m.
The April 16 Easter worship service will begin at 10:30 a.m.

‘Living Last Supper’ Planned April 13
WINONA LAKE — Winona Lake Free Methodist Church will present ‘The Living Last Supper” at 7 p.m. April 13.
The drama depicts the thoughts of the disciples on the night Jesus was betrayed. Everyone is welcome. Communion will be served.
On April 16, the church will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. An early service will be at 8:30 a.m., followed by breakfast at 9:15 a.m. The Easter celebration worship service will be at 10:45 a.m.

South Whitley Easter Activities Coming Up
South Whitley UMC has several events planned for the Easter season.
The church will celebrate Christ’s triumphal entry on Palm Sunday at 9 a.m. Sunday, followed by coffee and fellowship at 10 a.m.
A contemplative Good Friday service is planned for 7 p.m. April 14.

Holy Week Events At Congregational Church
NORTH MANCHESTER — To recognize the life and death of Jesus Christ, Congregational Christian Church will host a variety of services throughout Holy Week, April 9-16.
On Sunday we celebrate Palm Sunday, the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, with palms, songs and a message. The choir and bell ringers will share a number of selections at the 9 a.m. worship service. Children are invited to participate in JUMP Children’s Church at the 10:30 a.m. worship service, where there will be a guest at the Last Supper.
The Good Friday Tenebrae Prayer Service begins  at 7 p.m. April 14 in the fellowship hall. The Tenebrae is an ancient Christian Good Friday service that makes use of gradually diminishing light to symbolize the events of that week. Candles will be extinguished as the account of Jesus’ betrayal, arrest, trial and Crucifixion is read, ending the service in the darkness of despair. Lauren Myers and Judy Stofleth will offer their rendition of “How Beautiful” by Twila Paris as part of the service.
Easter Sunday Services will be held at 9 and 10:30 a.m.  April 16. Highlights include music from the voice and bell choir, a presentation from the JUMP Children’s Church Bell Choir and a special from the Praise Team Band. Hospitality time between services will include pie, fruit and other treats.
Childcare is provided for Sunday morning services.

Maundy Thursday Service At Warsaw EPC
Warsaw Evangelical Prestyterian Church will hold a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. April 13.
The service is a time of reflection, remorse and thanksgiving in preparation of Easter.
The church also is planning Easter worshop services at 8:30 and 11 a.m. April 16. A nursery will be available.

Gospel Hill PCG Plans Easter Egg Hunt
SILVER LAKE — A community Easter egg hunt is planned for 10:30 a.m. April 15 at Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God, Ind. 15, Silver Lake.
More than 2,000 eggs will be hidden.

‘Christ in the Passover’ Coming To Trinity
A traditional Passover service will be recreated at 4 p.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church.
During "Christ in the Passover," Lisa Smolowitz of Jews for Jesus will explain how the traditional Passover service foreshadowed Jesus’ death and resurrection.
Smolowitz will set a table with items traditionally used at the Passover meal and detail their spiritual significance. She will also explain the connection between the events of the first Passover in Egypt and the redemption that Jesus accomplished, as well as the deep bond between the ancient Passover feast and the Christian communion celebration today.
Smolowitz will answer questions after the presentation.
Moishe Rosen, who founded Jews for Jesus in 1973, has written the book “Christ in the Passover” with his wife, Ceil. This work includes a look at Passover in ancient times and how it is practiced today. It will be available after the presentation, as will a DVD of the “Christ in the Passover” presentation with David Brickner, executive director of Jews for Jesus, officiating.

Easter Cantata Sunday At Clunette UMC
CLUNETTE — Clunette United Methodist Church will present an Easter cantata Sunday.
“Amazing Love, How Can It Be” features a cast of seven characters who will tell how Jesus changed their lives. Choirs from Clunette, Leesburg and Aldersgate United Methodist churches are combining for the Palm Sunday service.
The service will begin at 7 p.m. Refreshments will follow.

Pre-Easter Services Planned In Rochester
ROCHESTER — Community pre-Easter services are planned at Bethlehem Baptist Church beginning Monday.
The service schedule is:

• Wednesday, concert with church group “North East Hot Shots,” singing all types of church music.
