More Barriers Installed Along Husky Trail

By Staff Report-

More barriers are being installed near Martin’s Super Market near the Husky Trail road project.
The city announced Tuesday it is making the adjustment after realizing many "non-local" motorists were using Martin's entrance off of Mariners Drive to cut through the construction zone.
As a result, the city is placing barricades along Mariners Drive and Martin's, the city said in a news release issued Tuesday.  The only entrance for local traffic will be from the north end of the project.
Residents who live along the existing construction area of Husky Trail will be directed to enter and exit the construction site from Husky Trail just south of North Pointe Drive. From that point the posted detour signs will direct motorists around the construction area.  All through traffic should follow the posted Husky Trail detour signs, the city news release said.
Any failure to follow the posted detour may result in the issuance of traffic citations.
All concerns or questions should be directed to the Warsaw Building and Planning Department.
The detour and traffic restrictions began Monday. The road reconstruction project, which includes a roundabout, is tentatively scheduled to be complete by late October or early November.
