MILFORD – John Earl Replogle, 81, of Seminole, Fla., formerly of Milford, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Lexington Health and Rehab in St. Petersburg.
John was born on Sept. 1, 1935, to Delbert Walter Replogle and Myrtle Hampton Replogle in Milford. He was raised in Milford and graduated from Milford High School with the class of 1954.
On April 23, 1956, John married Nancy May Shepherd; she passed away in 2003. John married Carol Fehnel in Florida on Jan. 24, 2004.
He retired from Chore-Time Brock after many years as head of human resources.
John will be missed by his wife, Carol Fehnel Replogle of Seminole, Fla.; three daughters: Rebecca Sue (Mike) Replogle-Wilkes, Kansas City, Mo.; Kathi Jo (Dave) Shaffer, Kingsport, Tenn.; and Brenda Kay Replogle, Sanford, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by seven siblings: Marion Loosmore, Oliver "Bud" Replogle, Barbara Cripe, Clifford "Bean" Replogle, Patricia Newcomer, Sandy Hawkins and Delbert Replogle Jr.
John’s passion for softball was second only to his love for the Lord. He faithfully served in his church and was an equally amazing third baseman. No one would be surprised if he got a game going as soon as he arrived in heaven. He loved playing softball on many state and nationally recognized teams.
John is remembered as genuinely hilarious and sincerely generous. He had a long list of friends and truly was “Mr. Milford.”
A funeral service in honor of John will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Milford Christian Church in Milford. Pastor Rick Brouillette will officiate with burial following at Milford Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, and 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 7.
