Hannah Wanemacher had 33 assists in the match, and Courtney Jennings led Triton with two blocks.
Triton came back from a set down to win the junior varsity match, 18-25, 25-16, 15-11 over Winamac.
The Lady Trojans will play in the Dunes Tournament in Rolling Prairie on Saturday.
Lady Cats Beat Maconaquah, 1-0
SOUTH WHITELY – Senior Abby Overmeyer converted a first-half penalty kick and Whitko made it stand in a 1-0 Three Rivers Conference girls soccer win over visiting Maconaquah Monday night.
Goalkeeper Stephanie Baughman recorded three saves in the match.
Whitko closes out its regular season Wednesday with a home match against Whitley County rival Columbia City.
Busco Beats Whitko
CHURUBUSCO – Whitko split the four boys tennis matches played at Churubusco Wednesday, but due to injury had to forfeit at No. 3 singles to give the Eagles a 3-2 win.
Bailey Platt won in straight sets at No. 1 singles, and Cory Hersha won a first-set tiebreaker and the second set 6-4 at No. 2 singles.
Austin Hollowell and Micah Cokl dropped a first-set tiebreaker 10-8 at No. 2 singles, then dropped the 2-1/2 hour marathon match with a 7-5 loss in the second set.
Whitko will host Prairie Heights today to close out its regular season.
Squires Blank Braves
BUNKER HILL – Manchester’s boys soccer team outshot Maconaquah 27-1, but only two Squire shots found the goal in a 2-0 win over the host Braves in a Three Rivers Conference match Monday.
Noah Beck scored the first goal late in the first half. Harley Kruschwitz found the net early in the second.
Manchester (8-3-1 overall, 5-0 TRC) will take a five-match winning streak into today’s match at Winamac.
Zebras Down Manchester
ROCHESTER – Spence Trick won a tiebreaker played in place of a third set to claim Manchester’s lone victory in a 4-1 Three Rivers Conference loss at Rochester Monday. It was the Squires’ eighth match in 14 days to close out the regular season.
“I think our tennis ability has improved over these past two weeks, but at the same time I felt like we have been a little tired in the legs causing a few mistakes,” Manchester head coach Eric Screeton. “We’ll re-charge and get ready for sectionals Wednesday.”
Manchester takes on Maconaquah in the first round of the Peru Sectional on Wednesday.
