Four From N. Manchester Charged After Multiple Thefts

Four North Manchester residents were booked into the Kosciusko County Jail in connection with a series of thefts at Walmart.
Frances Moore, 61, of 308 S. First St., North Manchester; John Leonard Glenn, 61, of 308 S. First St., North Manchester; June Ann Johnson, 60, of 906 W. Third St., North Manchester; and Sarah Ann Winkler, 79, of 906 W. Third St., North Manchester, all face multiple felony charges including theft and corrupt business influence.
According to a probable cause affidavit from the Kosciusko?County Prosecutor’s Office, on Aug. 15. Warsaw police responded to a theft charge at Walmart.
Walmart’s loss prevention officer, Lisa Bronson, told police she saw four adults trying to a push a cart of items through the lobby without paying for the items. When Bronson confronted them, they left the scene quickly, the affidavit states.
Bronson told the Warsaw officer that?Walmart had flagged the four adults due to surveillance video of the group.
The affidavit says the video shows Glenn and Moore refunding a ladder on July 28, and then took a separate ladder out of the store without paying for it.
The affidavit alleges on Aug. 5 the four adults were in Walmart again, allegedly working in conjuction to steal items.
The affidavit alleges that on Aug. 11 and Aug. 14, similar activities happened at Walmart.
The affidavit alleges the group stole several items including movie discs, a generator, adult diapers,and other items. The total value of the items is estimated at $1,613.77.
Glenn is charged with one count of corrupt business influence, a level 6 felony;  one count of theft, a level 6 felony; three counts of theft, class A misdemeanors; and one count of attempted theft, a class A misdemeanor.
Moore is charged with one count of corrupt business influence, a level 6 felony; one count of theft, a level 6 felony; three counts of theft, a class A misdemeanor; and one count of attempted theft.
Winkler is charged with one count of corrupt business influence, a level 6 felony; one count of theft, a level 6 felony; two counts of theft, all class A misdemeanors; and one count of attempted theft, a class A misdemeanor.
Johnson, who has a prior conviction for theft in Elkhart County, had her charges enhanced. She faces one felony count of corrupt business influence and four counts of felony theft, all level six felonies.
All four were booked into the Kosciusko?County jail Monday afternoon.?Each is being held on a $10,250 bond.
